CTE offers a variety of professional development programs to foster your career growth and development. Whether you aspire to advance within the organization, succeed across technical functional areas, or build global experience, CTE provides the tools necessary to achieve your goals.

Project Management Boot Camp

This comprehensive two-day seminar is designed to improve your skills in planning, scheduling, budgeting, contracts & negotiations, team management, client management, quality control & risk management, and productivity management.

Professional Development Forum

Employees who demonstrate exceptional leadership potential are invited to attend the Professional Development Forum, which consists of three, 2 1/2-day seminars, utilizing a combination of presentation and workshop techniques. These Forums often generate new ideas for improving the company's business approach and procedures.

Education Assistance

Employees may receive tuition and fee reimbursement for job-related courses/programs completed at accredited institutions of higher learning.

Professional Registration

CTE strongly encourages all employees to obtain professional licenses and maintain registration in their professional discipline. The company may reimburse the full cost for professional registrations, including the cost of application, testing, renewal and related courses.

Membership in Professional Organizations

Employees are encouraged to join professional societies and to participate in society activities related to their position. Annual membership fees for professional/technical organizations may be reimbursed.

Technical Courses/Conferences/Seminars

Attendance at technical seminars allows individuals to acquire advanced technical information enabling them to maintain state-of-the-art knowledge and expert qualifications.

Compliance Training

Our Corporate Counsel leads this course providing information about compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations.

Technical Skills Training

In-house and outside experts help employees achieve a range of technical and administrative skills such as CADD, word processing and spreadsheet development.

In-house Seminar Program

This in-house program covers a variety of topics to enhance professional development. CTE offers seminars on:

  • Management - covering topics such as quality, risk management, communications, attitude, etc.
  • Technology Transfer - in-house staff who have attended outside seminars or training courses convey what they have learned to other employees.
  • Vendor Presentations - outside vendors, equipment suppliers, etc. are invited to present their latest, state-of-the-art wares that may be considered for application to CTE projects.
  • Consultant Presentations - presentations by outside technical specialists covering a particular field or discipline.
  • Project Manager Presentations - developed and conducted by various Project Managers to describe their project to interested staff. This helps communicate to others what's going on elsewhere in the office and provides Project Managers an opportunity to hone their presentation skills.
  • Department Presentations - developed and presented to foster inter-disciplinary understanding of the challenges, concerns and activities in other departments.
